The PARKER A8MTS8-MG is a push-to-connect male swivel branch tee tube fitting designed for tube-to-pipe connections in fluid handling and pneumatic plumbing systems. Constructed from polyoxymethylene (POM), a high-strength engineering thermoplastic, this fitting handles working pressures up to 250 psi. The swivel branch tee configuration allows the male threaded branch to rotate during installation, reducing torque stress on the tubing and making alignment in tight spaces straightforward. It accepts 1/2 inch OD tubing and connects to 1/2 inch NPTF pipe threads. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial pipefitters install this type of fitting in compressed air, water distribution, and light fluid transfer lines.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC auxiliary lines, pneumatic control circuits, and similar low-to-medium pressure tube-to-pipe applications. The NPTF thread form provides a dry-seal connection that resists leakage without relying solely on thread sealant. The push-to-connect design allows tubing to be inserted and locked without tools, speeding up installation in panel assemblies, control enclosures, and inline branch configurations where a tee takeoff from a main run is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect replacement or new-installation fitting for 1/2 inch OD tubing systems with 1/2 inch NPTF threaded pipe ports in pneumatic, water, and light fluid service applications.
Depressurize and drain the line completely before removing or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure tubing ends are cut square and deburred before insertion — angled or rough cuts can compromise the internal collet seal and cause leakage. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPTF male threads per the system fluid and code requirements. Verify that the tubing OD is within the specified tolerance for the collet size before final pressurization.
