The PARKER A8MES4-MG is a push-to-connect male swivel elbow tube fitting designed for fast, tool-free connections between tubing and threaded pipe ports. Constructed from polyoxymethylene (POM), a high-strength acetal resin, this fitting accepts 1/2 inch OD tubing on the push-in end and terminates with a 1/4 inch NPTF male thread on the pipe side. The swivel design allows the threaded end to rotate during installation, making it easy to align tube runs without twisting the tubing. Rated to 250 psi, it is suitable for compressed air, water, and other compatible fluid systems in light industrial and HVAC applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and automation technicians commonly use these fittings for pneumatic and low-pressure fluid control lines.
This fitting is well suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, pneumatic control lines, and instrumentation tubing installations. The 90-degree elbow configuration is commonly used where a tube run must transition from inline to a threaded port at a right angle, such as at solenoid valves, regulators, manifolds, or equipment panels. The push-to-connect end accepts 1/2 inch OD tubing without additional tools, speeding up installation in tight enclosures or panel builds.

Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Insert tubing squarely and fully into the push-to-connect end until it seats; confirm retention by applying a light pull-back force on the tube. Thread the NPTF male end by hand first to avoid cross-threading, then tighten to a snug fit — do not overtighten POM fittings. Inspect tubing cut ends for burrs or out-of-round deformation before insertion, as irregular tube ends can compromise the internal collet seal.
