The PARKER A8MC8-MG is a push-to-connect tube-to-pipe connector fitting designed for fast, tool-free tube connections in fluid and pneumatic plumbing systems. Built from polyoxymethylene (POM), a rigid acetal-based thermoplastic, this fitting handles working pressures up to 250 psi. It accepts 1/2 inch OD tubing on the push-to-connect end and threads onto 1/2 inch NPTF pipe threads on the male end. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial piping installers use this style of fitting when transitioning between push-fit tubing runs and threaded pipe ports without secondary tools or compression sleeves.
This connector fits residential and light commercial plumbing and pneumatic applications where a straight inline transition from tubing to a threaded pipe port is required. Typical installations include water supply lines, compressed air distribution, and low-pressure fluid transfer systems. The NPTF thread form provides a pressure-tight mechanical seal at the pipe connection, reducing reliance on thread sealant in many applications. The tan POM body resists moisture and common cleaning chemicals, making it suitable for both wet and dry service environments.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect replacement or new-installation connector for 1/2 inch OD tubing systems using 1/2 inch NPTF threaded pipe ports in plumbing and pneumatic applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified technicians following applicable IPC and system-specific pressure guidelines. Depressurize and drain the line completely before removing or installing any fitting. Ensure tubing is cut square and deburred before insertion into the push-to-connect collet to achieve a proper seal. Confirm that NPTF threads are clean and in good condition before engagement; apply thread sealant per job specifications if required.
