The PARKER A8BU8-MG is a push-to-connect bulkhead union tube fitting designed to create a secure, leak-free connection between two 1/2-inch OD tubes through a panel or wall. Constructed from polyoxymethylene (POM), a rigid acetal resin engineered plastic known for its dimensional stability and chemical resistance, this fitting handles working pressures up to 250 psi. The push-to-connect mechanism allows fast, tool-free tube insertion without ferrules, compression sleeves, or soldering. It is suited for pneumatic and fluid transfer lines in HVAC, refrigeration controls, and light industrial plumbing applications where a bulkhead pass-through is required.
This fitting is used where tubing must pass through a panel, bulkhead, or enclosure wall and terminate with a union connection on both sides. Typical installations include control panel pneumatic lines, tubing runs through cabinet walls, and similar low-to-medium pressure pneumatic or compatible fluid systems. The tan POM body is compatible with a range of compressed air and non-aggressive fluid service conditions. Licensed plumbing and HVAC technicians as well as industrial maintenance professionals are the primary installers of this fitting type.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 1/2-inch OD tubing in pneumatic or compatible low-to-medium pressure fluid transfer applications.
Installation does not require special tools — tube ends should be cut cleanly and squarely, and deburring is recommended before insertion to ensure a proper seal. Depressurize and isolate the line before connecting or disconnecting the fitting. Verify that the tubing OD and wall thickness are within the fitting manufacturer's specified range for rated pressure performance. This fitting type is commonly installed by HVAC technicians, licensed plumbers, and industrial maintenance mechanics in accordance with applicable system design codes.
