The PARKER A6WY5-MG is a push-to-connect union tube fitting designed to join two tube runs of differing outside diameters without the need for tools or threading. It connects a 3/8-inch OD tube to a 5/16-inch OD tube in a single inline union configuration. The body is molded from polyoxymethylene (POM), a rigid acetal thermoplastic known for its dimensional stability and resistance to fuels, solvents, and moisture. Rated to 300 psi, this fitting suits medium-pressure pneumatic and fluid-transfer lines. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and equipment-maintenance techs install this type of fitting when routing refrigerant-free control tubing, instrument air lines, or similar small-bore systems.
This fitting is sized for small-bore tubing common in light pneumatic controls, instrument tubing runs, and fluid-handling assemblies in both residential and light commercial equipment. Its push-to-connect design speeds installation in tight equipment cabinets and panel enclosures where wrenches are difficult to maneuver. The tan POM body resists corrosion, making it suitable for humid mechanical rooms and outdoor-rated enclosures where metal fittings may corrode over time.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect union fitting for small-bore pneumatic and fluid-transfer tubing lines with 3/8-inch and 5/16-inch outside diameters.
Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disconnecting or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Cut tubing cleanly and squarely with a tube cutter to ensure a proper seal — diagonal or burred cuts will prevent the collet from gripping. Push the tube firmly into the fitting body until it bottoms out against the internal stop. To release, depress the collet ring while pulling the tube back.
