The PARKER A6VC6-MG is an inline check valve designed to allow flow in one direction and prevent backflow in fluid-handling systems. It uses a push-to-connect configuration on both ends, making installation fast and tool-free on compatible tubing. The body is molded from acetal, a durable engineering plastic suited for water and fluid service. The seals are EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer), which provides reliable performance across a working temperature range of 34 degrees F to 150 degrees F. Maximum working pressure is 150 psi, and the crack pressure — the minimum upstream pressure required to open the valve — is 0.33 psi. This valve is NSF/ANSI 51 and NSF/ANSI 61 certified, making it appropriate for potable water and food-equipment applications.
This valve is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, water treatment, filtration systems, RO (reverse osmosis) systems, ice makers, and similar fluid-distribution applications where backflow prevention is required at low crack pressures. The push-to-connect ends accept 3/8 inch outside diameter tubing, which is a common size in water filtration and appliance plumbing. Plumbers, water treatment technicians, and appliance installers are the typical trades that work with this fitting. Its compact, white acetal body fits in tight spaces and does not require thread sealant or tools to make connections.
Designed for use with 3/8 inch outside diameter push-to-connect tubing in inline backflow prevention applications. Suitable for potable water systems meeting NSF/ANSI 51 and NSF/ANSI 61 requirements.
This valve is installed by licensed plumbers or qualified water treatment technicians in systems that comply with applicable plumbing codes, including the IPC. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before disconnecting or installing any inline valve. Confirm tubing outside diameter is 3/8 inch before insertion — push-to-connect fittings are tubing-size-specific and will not seal correctly on mismatched tubing. Observe the flow-direction arrow molded into the body to ensure correct orientation.
