The PARKER A6MC4-MG is a push-to-connect tube-to-pipe connector fitting designed for fast, tool-free tube connections in pneumatic and fluid system applications. Manufactured from polyoxymethylene (POM), a rigid acetal-based thermoplastic, this fitting accepts 3/8 inch OD tubing and threads into a 1/4 inch NPTF port. Push-to-connect construction allows the tube to lock in place with a single push, eliminating the need for compression nuts or ferrules. The fitting is rated to 300 psi, making it suitable for compressed air lines, water, and other compatible media in moderate-pressure systems.
This connector is used in residential and light commercial applications where quick tube-to-pipe connections are needed on pneumatic controls, water treatment equipment, HVAC control tubing, or process instrumentation lines. The NPTF thread form provides a dry-seal fit, reducing the need for thread sealant. The tan POM body resists moisture and common chemicals encountered in plumbing and HVAC environments. Power down or de-pressurize the system fully before removing or installing any fittings. Ensure the tube end is cut cleanly and squarely with no burrs before inserting into the fitting body; a deformed tube end will prevent a proper seal. Thread the NPTF male end into the port by hand first, then tighten with an appropriate wrench, taking care not to overtighten POM fittings as the material can crack under excessive torque. Verify system pressure does not exceed the 300 psi rating before returning the line to service.
