The PARKER A5WY5-MG is a push-to-connect union tube fitting designed for straight tube-to-tube connections. Made from polyoxymethylene (POM), a rigid engineering-grade thermoplastic, this fitting delivers a secure, leak-resistant joint rated to 300 psi. Installation requires no tools — tubing inserts directly into the fitting body and locks in place with an internal collet. The tan POM body resists moisture and many common chemicals, making it well suited for pneumatic and fluid-handling lines in light industrial and commercial equipment. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and equipment maintenance trades use fittings of this type when routing 5/16 inch OD tubing in tight or hard-to-reach spaces.
This fitting is used in tube-to-tube inline connections where two runs of 5/16 inch OD tubing must be joined without a threaded port. Typical applications include condensate drain lines, pneumatic control circuits, and light-duty fluid transfer systems. The push-to-connect design speeds up assembly and allows the tubing to be disconnected and reconnected without replacing the fitting, which is useful during equipment servicing or panel reconfiguration. Sold individually, this fitting is appropriate for both new installations and repair work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation union fitting for systems using 5/16 inch outside diameter tubing in pneumatic or light-duty fluid-handling applications.
Installation is performed by cutting tubing square, deburring the end, and inserting it firmly into the fitting until it seats against the internal stop. Before servicing or replacing this fitting, depressurize the line and verify the system is isolated from its pressure source. To disconnect, depress the release collar while pulling the tubing free. Follow applicable codes and equipment manufacturer guidelines when routing and supporting tubing runs.
