The PARKER A5VC5-MG is an inline check valve designed to allow one-directional fluid flow and prevent backflow in tubing systems. Built with a gray acetal body and an EPDM seal, this valve connects on both ends via push-to-connect fittings, accepting tubing with a 5/16 inch outside diameter. It has a crack pressure of 0.33 psi and a maximum working pressure of 145 psi. The stainless steel spring provides reliable closure force across the rated temperature range. This valve is sized for compact installations and is well suited to plumbing, water treatment, and fluid-handling applications where backflow prevention is required.
This check valve fits tubing lines where push-to-connect assembly is preferred for speed and serviceability. The acetal body meets FDA and NSF/ANSI 51 and NSF/ANSI 61 compliance requirements, making it appropriate for use in potable water and food-contact fluid systems. It operates across a temperature range of -34 degrees F to 150 degrees F, covering most indoor residential and light commercial service environments. Plumbers, water treatment technicians, and fluid-system installers typically encounter this style of valve in under-sink filtration, ice maker supply lines, and similar low-pressure water circuits.
Designed for inline installation in push-to-connect tubing systems using 5/16 inch outside diameter tubing. Compatible with systems requiring NSF/ANSI 61 listed components for potable water service.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified fluid-systems technician. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before inserting or removing push-to-connect fittings. Verify that tubing is cut square and deburred to the proper outside diameter before seating it into the fitting body to ensure a leak-free connection. Confirm flow-direction arrow or inlet/outlet orientation before finalizing the installation.
