The PARKER A5TMC6 is a push-to-connect tube stem adapter designed to transition between a push-to-connect tube end and a threaded port in fluid or pneumatic systems. Constructed from polyoxymethylene (POM), a rigid acetal-based thermoplastic, this fitting handles pressures up to 300 psi. The adapter accepts 5/16 inch outside diameter tubing on the push-to-connect end and threads into a 3/8 inch NPTF port. Its tan color provides quick visual identification on the job. Typically installed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, or fluid-system technicians in control lines, instrumentation runs, or equipment connections requiring a reliable tube-to-thread transition.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial applications where push-to-connect fittings are used in low-to-medium pressure pneumatic or fluid systems. Common install scenarios include HVAC controls, compressed air distribution, water treatment equipment, and similar applications using 5/16 inch OD tubing routed to NPT-threaded ports or manifolds. It is sold and packaged as a single-piece unit.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for systems using 5/16 inch OD tubing and 3/8 inch NPTF threaded ports in pneumatic, fluid, or HVAC control applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with push-to-connect fittings and NPTF threaded connections. Depressurize and isolate the system before installing or removing any fitting. Ensure the tube end is cut square, deburred, and clean before inserting into the push-to-connect end to achieve a proper seal. Verify thread compatibility with the receiving port before assembly, as NPTF threads are self-sealing by design but require proper engagement torque appropriate to the port material.
