The PARKER A5TMC4 is a push-to-connect tube stem adapter designed to create a secure, leak-resistant connection between tubing and threaded ports in fluid and pneumatic systems. Machined from acetal (polyoxymethylene), this fitting accepts 5/16-inch OD tubing and threads into a 1/4-inch NPTF port. It is rated to 300 psi maximum working pressure and handles temperatures from -20 degrees F to 180 degrees F. The push-to-connect design allows tubing to seat without additional tools, making it a practical choice for plumbing technicians and HVAC service professionals working in tight or hard-to-reach spaces.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial fluid distribution and pneumatic control applications. Typical installations include condensate drain lines, low-pressure air lines, and control system tubing runs where a threaded port must transition to push-connect tubing. The NPTF thread form provides a pressure-tight mechanical seal without relying solely on thread sealant. The tan acetal construction resists corrosion and many common system fluids encountered in HVAC and plumbing service work.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect adapter compatible with 5/16-inch OD tubing and 1/4-inch NPTF threaded ports in low-pressure fluid and pneumatic systems.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or qualified mechanics working on fluid or pneumatic systems. De-pressurize and isolate the system before removing or installing any fittings. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely, with no burrs, before inserting into the push-connect fitting to achieve a proper seal. NPTF threads are self-sealing by design, but consult applicable system codes and manufacturer guidance regarding the use of thread sealant compounds.
