The PARKER A5MES6-MG is a push-to-connect male swivel elbow tube fitting designed for tube-to-pipe connections in pneumatic and fluid transfer systems. It accepts tubing with a 5/16 inch outside diameter and connects to a 3/8 inch NPTF male thread. The body is molded from POM (polyoxymethylene), a high-strength acetal resin that resists moisture, solvents, and mechanical wear. Rated to 300 psi, this fitting is suited for compressed air lines, light hydraulic circuits, and instrumentation plumbing where a 90-degree directional change is required. The swivel design allows the elbow to rotate during installation, reducing torque stress on the tubing and simplifying routing in tight spaces.
This fitting is commonly installed in residential and light commercial HVAC equipment, refrigeration controls, pneumatic control panels, and process instrumentation. The push-to-connect end accepts standard polyethylene, nylon, or polyurethane tubing at 5/16 inch OD, while the NPTF thread provides a pressure-tight seal to pipe ports and manifolds without the need for sealant tape when properly torqued. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation mechanics typically select this style of fitting when routing control tubing through panels or around obstructions.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for pneumatic and fluid systems using 5/16 inch OD tubing with a 3/8 inch NPTF male pipe connection.
Depressurize and isolate the circuit before removing or installing any fittings. Insert tubing fully into the push-to-connect collet until it seats against the internal stop to ensure a leak-free grip. Hand-thread the NPTF male end into the receiving port before applying wrench torque to avoid cross-threading. Confirm working pressure does not exceed the 300 psi rating of this fitting; do not use in systems that exceed the rated pressure or with tubing outside the specified OD.
