The PARKER A5MES4-MG is a push-to-connect male swivel elbow tube fitting designed for tube-to-pipe connections in fluid and pneumatic systems. It accepts 5/16 inch OD tubing and connects to 1/4 inch NPTF male threads. The body is molded from POM (polyoxymethylene), a rigid acetal-based thermoplastic known for chemical resistance and dimensional stability under pressure. This fitting is rated to 300 psi and is color-coded gray for quick identification. It is installed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and fluid-system mechanics working on low-pressure tubing runs where a 90-degree direction change is required.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving instrument tubing, pneumatic control lines, or fluid transfer systems. The swivel elbow design allows the pipe-thread end to rotate during installation, reducing torsional stress on the tubing and simplifying alignment in tight spaces. It is commonly used in control tubing assemblies, condensate management lines, and compressed-air distribution where push-to-connect convenience reduces installation time.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for use with 5/16 inch OD tubing and 1/4 inch NPTF threaded pipe ports in pneumatic, fluid transfer, and instrument tubing systems.
Installation is performed by qualified HVAC technicians, plumbers, or pipefitters. Depressurize and isolate the system before disconnecting or installing any fittings. Ensure the tubing cut is clean and square with no burrs before inserting into the push-to-connect port. Confirm that NPTF thread engagement meets applicable system and code requirements before returning the system to pressure.
