The PARKER A5ME6-MG is a push-to-connect male elbow tube fitting designed for quick, tool-free tube connections in fluid and pneumatic distribution systems. Manufactured from polyoxymethylene (POM), a rigid engineering thermoplastic, this fitting accepts 5/16 inch OD tubing and terminates with a 3/8 inch NPTF male thread. It is rated to 300 psi, making it suitable for moderate-pressure pneumatic and liquid applications. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial maintenance technicians use this type of fitting when routing tubing around corners or making directional changes in a line without additional adapters.
This fitting is applied in residential and light commercial systems where push-to-connect speed is preferred over compression or flare-style connections. Common install scenarios include condensate management, instrumentation tubing, pneumatic control lines, and fluid transfer assemblies. The elbow configuration allows a 90-degree directional change directly at the fitting body, reducing the need for additional elbows or bent tubing. Its tan POM construction resists many common chemicals and provides electrical non-conductivity, which suits environments where metal fittings may be undesirable.
Designed for use with 5/16 inch OD tubing in push-to-connect pneumatic, fluid, and HVAC control line applications requiring a 3/8 inch NPTF male thread connection.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician, plumber, or qualified maintenance technician depending on the application. Before servicing any line, depressurize the system completely and verify zero pressure at the fitting location. Ensure tubing is cut squarely and deburred before insertion to achieve a proper seal. Verify thread compatibility at the mating port, as NPTF threads are not interchangeable with NPT in all pressure service conditions without confirming system specifications.
