The PARKER A5FC4-MG is a push-to-connect tube fitting connector designed for quick, tool-free tube connections in pneumatic and fluid handling systems. Constructed from polyoxymethylene (POM), a high-strength acetal resin, this fitting handles pressures up to 230 psi. It accepts a 5/16-inch OD tube on one end and a 1/4-inch OD tube on the other, making it a reducing connector suited for applications where two different tube sizes must be joined inline. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and pneumatic system installers commonly use fittings of this type when routing tubing through equipment panels, condensate systems, or compressed-air lines.
This connector is suited for light commercial and residential installations where POM construction provides adequate chemical resistance and pressure handling. Typical applications include condensate drain lines, pneumatic control tubing, and low-pressure fluid distribution. The push-to-connect design allows fast field assembly without ferrules, compression sleeves, or threaded fittings, reducing installation time in tight or repetitive work environments.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect connector for systems using 5/16-inch and 1/4-inch OD tubing in pneumatic or low-pressure fluid applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician, plumber, or pneumatic systems technician. Before servicing any connected system, depressurize the line completely and verify pressure has reached zero before inserting or removing tubing. Ensure tube ends are cut cleanly and squarely with a tube cutter for a leak-free seat. Verify the tubing OD matches the fitting specification before insertion, as incorrect sizing will compromise the seal.
