The PARKER A5FA7-MG is a push-to-connect faucet adapter tube fitting designed for quick, tool-free tubing connections in fluid handling applications. Constructed from polyoxymethylene (POM), a high-strength acetal resin, this fitting accepts 5/16 inch OD tubing and threads into a 7/16-24 UNS-2B female port. The push-to-connect design allows the technician to insert tubing with a single motion and achieve a secure, leak-resistant seal without ferrules, compression rings, or additional hardware. Rated to 300 psi, this adapter is suited for clean water, beverage dispensing, and low-pressure pneumatic lines where a faucet-style threaded connection is required.
This fitting is commonly used in under-sink water filtration systems, ice maker supply lines, beverage equipment, and point-of-use faucet installations. The 7/16-24 thread is a standard faucet adapter thread found on many residential and light commercial water dispensing fixtures. Plumbers, refrigeration technicians, and equipment service pros install this type of fitting when connecting 5/16 inch OD poly or nylon tubing to threaded faucet shanks or saddle valve outlets.
Designed for use with 5/16 inch OD tubing and threaded faucet ports with 7/16-24 UNS-2B internal thread. Suitable for clean water, beverage, and low-pressure pneumatic service lines.
Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before removing or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure tubing is cut square and free of burrs before insertion — a clean, square cut is required for a proper seal. Hand-tighten the threaded end into the faucet port; do not overtighten POM fittings as the material is strong but not rated for the same torque as brass. Inspect for leaks after restoring pressure before returning the system to service.
