The PARKER A4MES2-MG is a push-to-connect male swivel elbow tube fitting designed to transition from tubing to a threaded pipe connection at a 90-degree angle. Constructed from POM (polyoxymethylene), a rigid acetal-based thermoplastic, this fitting handles working pressures up to 300 psi. The swivel elbow design allows the male NPTF thread to rotate during installation, making alignment to mating port threads straightforward without twisting the connected tubing. The 1/4 inch OD push-to-connect end accepts compatible tubing with a simple push-and-lock action, eliminating the need for ferrules or compression sleeves. Plumbers, instrumentation technicians, and pneumatic system installers commonly specify this fitting.
This fitting is suited for low-pressure pneumatic lines, fluid transfer systems, and instrumentation plumbing in both light industrial and commercial applications. The NPTF thread type provides a pressure-tight mechanical seal without relying solely on thread sealant. Its gray POM body resists many common chemicals encountered in pneumatic and light hydraulic circuits. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPTF male threads per the system manufacturer and applicable plumbing code requirements, even though NPTF threads are designed to seal on the thread form. Insert tubing squarely and fully into the push-to-connect port until it seats; use the fitting's integral collet release collar to disconnect tubing when servicing. Verify the installed tubing OD is within the fitting's specified tolerance before pressurizing.
