The PARKER 8MSEL8N-316 is a stainless steel compression tube male elbow fitting designed to create a leak-tight, 90-degree directional change in tubing runs where a compression connection meets a male NPT threaded port. Rated to 6300 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting is suited for high-pressure instrumentation, hydraulic, and process fluid lines. The 316 stainless steel construction provides strong resistance to corrosion and oxidation. Plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians install this fitting wherever a permanent, pressure-rated compression-to-NPT transition is required in a compact elbow form factor.
This fitting is appropriate for residential and commercial applications involving compressed gas lines, instrumentation tubing, fluid process systems, and hydraulic control circuits. It accepts 1/2 inch outside diameter tubing on the compression end and threads into a 1/2-14 NPT female port on the male end. The elbow orientation is well suited for panel-mount or bulkhead installations where inline fittings cannot be used due to space or routing constraints.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation compression male elbow fitting for systems using 1/2 inch OD tubing and 1/2-14 NPT threaded ports in high-pressure process, instrumentation, or fluid service applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or qualified instrumentation technician in accordance with applicable piping codes such as ASME B31.3 for process piping. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing any existing fitting or making new connections. Ensure the tubing end is cut square, deburred, and fully seated before tightening the compression nut. Do not over-tighten the compression nut; follow the fitting manufacturer's standard assembly procedure for compression fittings to avoid distorting the ferrule or tubing.
