The PARKER 8MSC6N-316 is a straight compression tube connector designed to join compression tubing to a male NPT threaded port in a single inline fitting. Constructed from stainless steel, it provides strong corrosion resistance in demanding fluid and gas line applications. The fitting uses a 3/8-18 NPT thread size and accepts a compression connection on one end and a male NPT connection on the other. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 6300 psi, making it suitable for high-pressure plumbing, instrumentation, and process lines. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers of this fitting type.
This connector is well suited for residential and commercial applications where tubing must terminate at a threaded port on a valve, manifold, or instrument body. Its straight fitting shape allows direct in-line connections without bends or offsets. The stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for corrosive environments, including chemical process lines, compressed gas systems, and hydraulic instrumentation circuits where brass or carbon steel fittings are not acceptable.
Designed as an OEM-style straight compression connector for standard NPT-ported valves, manifolds, and instrument bodies requiring a 3/8-18 NPT male thread with a compression tube inlet.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable plumbing and process piping codes. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut before applying the appropriate number of wrench turns per the compression fitting manufacturer guidelines — do not overtighten. Inspect the compression sleeve and tubing end for damage or burrs before assembly to ensure a leak-free seal.
