The PARKER 8MBC6N-316 is a stainless steel compression tube bulkhead connector designed to route tubing through a panel, bulkhead, or wall while maintaining a secure, leak-resistant seal. It features a compression fitting on one end and a male NPT thread on the other, allowing direct connection to threaded ports in instrumentation, process equipment, and fluid-handling systems. Rated to 6300 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting handles extreme pressure demands in demanding industrial and mechanical applications. The 316 stainless steel construction supports service from -425 degrees F to 1200 degrees F, making it suitable for cryogenic, high-temperature, and corrosive-environment installations. Licensed trades and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers.
This bulkhead connector is used wherever tubing must pass cleanly through a panel or enclosure wall in process piping, instrumentation, HVAC refrigerant lines, hydraulic circuits, and pneumatic systems. The compression-by-MNPT configuration allows one side to grip tubing mechanically while the threaded end mates with a standard NPT port. Its wide temperature range and high pressure rating make it appropriate for both cryogenic service and elevated-temperature process lines in commercial and industrial settings.
Designed as an OEM-style and aftermarket replacement compression bulkhead connector for instrumentation, process, and fluid-handling systems requiring a 3/8-18 NPT male thread and compression tube connection in stainless steel construction.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, instrumentation technician, or licensed plumber familiar with NPT threaded connections and compression fitting assembly. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads per applicable codes such as ASME B31.3 or the applicable mechanical code for the jurisdiction. Do not over-tighten the compression nut; follow the fitting manufacturer's turn-past-finger-tight procedure to avoid deforming the ferrule or tube end.
