The PARKER 8M-V8LN-B is a straight-pattern needle valve designed for precise flow control in high-pressure fluid and gas systems. The valve features a brass body with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) seal, providing reliable chemical resistance and a tight shutoff at pressures up to 3,000 psi. A round handle allows for fine throttling adjustment. With an overall length of 2.68 inches and an overall height of 4.18 inches, the valve fits in compact installations without sacrificing pressure capacity. Plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this valve in instrument lines, hydraulic circuits, and process piping where accurate flow metering is required.
This valve is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a 1/2 inch male NPT connection on both ends is specified. The MNPT x MNPT end configuration allows direct thread-in installation into female-threaded ports or fittings without adapters. Typical install scenarios include instrument isolation, bypass lines, and test point connections in compressed air, water, hydraulic, and compatible fluid systems. The PTFE seal material supports use in a wide range of media where elastomer seals may degrade.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation needle valve for 1/2 inch MNPT x MNPT straight-pattern applications in compressed air, hydraulic, and compatible process piping systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter following applicable IPC and local code requirements. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing any existing valve or fitting. Apply thread sealant appropriate for the service media to the MNPT threads before installation; do not use tape or compounds incompatible with the process fluid. Verify the system does not exceed the 3,000 psi rated working pressure after returning the line to service.
