The PARKER 8FSC8N-316 is a stainless steel compression tube connector designed to join tubing to female NPT pipe threads in high-pressure and extreme-temperature fluid or gas systems. It features a compression end on one side and a female NPT (FNPT) threaded end on the other, providing a reliable mechanical seal without welding or brazing. Rated to 6300 psi maximum working pressure and capable of handling temperatures from -425 degrees F to 1200 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding industrial, instrumentation, and process applications. Installation is performed by qualified pipefitters, plumbers, or instrumentation technicians.
This connector is well-suited for instrumentation tubing, hydraulic lines, pneumatic systems, and process piping where a compression-to-NPT transition is required. The 316 stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for corrosive media, high-purity systems, and cryogenic or high-heat environments. Its 1/2-14 NPT thread size fits standard half-inch female pipe thread ports commonly found on valves, manifolds, gauges, and control equipment across industrial and commercial facilities.
Designed as an OEM-style compression-to-FNPT connector for 1/2-14 NPT female threaded ports in instrumentation, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process piping applications requiring stainless steel construction.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or instrumentation technician familiar with compression fitting assembly procedures. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disassembly or installation. Compression fittings require proper tube preparation including clean, square cuts and deburring to achieve a leak-free seal. Follow applicable codes such as ASME B31.3 or IFGC for process and gas piping systems.
