The PARKER 8FEL6N-316 is a compression tube female elbow fitting manufactured in 316 stainless steel. It connects a compression tube end to a female NPT threaded port in a 90-degree configuration, making it a standard choice for routing tubing at a right angle into a threaded port or manifold. Rated to 6300 psi maximum working pressure and capable of handling temperatures from -425 degrees F to 1200 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding fluid and gas line applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers.
This fitting is suited for high-pressure instrumentation lines, process piping, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic circuits where a reliable compression-to-FNPT transition is required. The 3/8-18 NPT thread size and compression end make it a practical choice for both industrial process installations and commercial mechanical systems requiring leak-tight tube connections at elbow transitions. Its wide temperature range supports cryogenic through high-heat service environments.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube fitting for use in standard NPT-threaded instrumentation, hydraulic, and process piping systems where a compression-to-FNPT elbow transition is required.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or instrumentation technician following applicable IPC and ASME B31 piping codes. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disassembly or installation. Apply thread sealant to the NPT male threads at the mating port per the sealant manufacturer instructions, and ensure the compression sleeve and nut are seated correctly on the tube before tightening. Do not over-torque the compression nut, as stainless fittings are susceptible to galling.
