The PARKER 8FBC8N-316 is a compression tube bulkhead female connector designed for routing tubing through panels, bulkheads, or enclosures while maintaining a secure, leak-resistant seal. Constructed from stainless steel, this fitting handles a maximum working pressure of 6300 psi and operates across an extreme temperature range of -425 degrees F to 1200 degrees F. The 1/2-14 NPT thread connects a compression-style tube end on one side to a female NPT port on the other, making it suitable for high-pressure fluid and gas transfer lines in demanding industrial and mechanical systems. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and fluid system technicians are the primary installers of this fitting type.
This bulkhead connector is suited for high-pressure process piping, instrumentation lines, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic circuits where tubing must pass cleanly through a panel or wall. The stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for corrosive environments, high-temperature service, and cryogenic applications given its rated minimum temperature of -425 degrees F. It is commonly found in industrial facilities, refineries, chemical processing plants, and HVAC mechanical rooms where panel-mounted tube penetrations are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install compression bulkhead fitting for high-pressure tubing systems using 1/2-14 NPT threaded connections with compression tube terminations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or plumber familiar with high-pressure compression fittings and NPT threaded connections. Depressurize and isolate the system fully before removing or installing any fitting. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the NPT side per the applicable piping code, such as ASME B31.3 for process piping. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as stainless steel fittings can gall; hand-tighten then advance to the manufacturer-recommended turn count for the tube diameter in use.
