The PARKER 8F-PR6-VT-SS is a 1/2 inch inline instrumentation plug valve built for high-pressure fluid and gas control applications. Constructed from 316 stainless steel with a Viton seal, this one-way valve carries a 3,000 psi WOG (Water, Oil, Gas) pressure rating, making it suitable for demanding process and instrumentation service. The wedge handle design provides positive shutoff with a single quarter-turn motion. Female NPT connections on both ends allow for straightforward inline installation into threaded piping systems. Typical installers include industrial pipefitters, instrumentation technicians, and mechanical contractors working in process, HVAC, or chemical handling environments.
This valve is suited for inline shutoff service in instrumentation lines, process piping, and fluid sampling systems where corrosion resistance and pressure integrity are required. The 316 stainless steel body resists chloride and chemical attack, making it a common choice for offshore, marine, chemical processing, and industrial process applications. The FNPT x FNPT end configuration fits standard 1/2 inch threaded pipe schedules per ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 thread standards. Its compact form factor suits panel-mounted and field instrumentation installations where space is limited.
Designed as an OEM-style instrumentation plug valve for use in 1/2 inch threaded piping systems rated to 3,000 psi WOG with FNPT end connections conforming to ANSI/ASME B1.20.1.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or qualified instrumentation technician. Isolate and depressurize the line completely before removing the existing valve or threading the new valve into service. Apply appropriate thread sealant compatible with the process media to FNPT threads before assembly. Tighten to fitting manufacturer specifications and verify for leaks at operating pressure before returning the system to service.
