The PARKER 8BLEN8-316 is a compression tube end cap designed to terminate a 1/2-inch OD tube line in systems where a secure, leak-free seal is required. Constructed from 316 stainless steel, this fitting handles pressures up to 6300 psi and operates across a temperature range of -425 degrees F to 1200 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding process, instrumentation, and fluid-handling applications. The compression-style end connection eliminates the need for threading the tube itself, allowing fast field termination with standard compression tooling. At 0.1274 pounds, it is a compact, lightweight fitting with an overall length of 1.15 inches.
This end cap is used in industrial, HVAC, plumbing, and instrumentation systems where a tube run must be capped off cleanly without welding or soldering. It is well-suited for gas, liquid, and hydraulic line terminations in both new construction and retrofit service work. The 1/2-14 NPT thread and 1/2-inch OD compression connection make it a standard choice wherever Parker compression fittings are already installed in the system.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube end cap for use with 1/2-inch OD tubing and 1/2-14 NPT threaded connections in Parker compression fitting systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber, pipefitter, or instrumentation technician following applicable codes such as ASME B31.3 for process piping. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before installing or removing any compression fitting. Use proper compression sleeve and nut seating procedures per the fitting manufacturer guidelines — do not overtighten, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal. Verify the tube OD is within specification and free of burrs before assembly.
