The PARKER 881-16 is a Series 881 hydraulic suction and return hose built for low-pressure fluid conveyance in mobile and industrial hydraulic systems. It features a 1 inch inner diameter and a 250 psi working pressure rating. The hose body is constructed from synthetic rubber, giving it a working temperature range of -40 degrees F to 257 degrees F. Sold in 1-foot increments with a 5-foot minimum cut length and a 250-foot total coil length, it is well suited for shops and service fleets that require custom-cut lengths. Licensed HVAC technicians, hydraulic system mechanics, and fluid power specialists are the typical installers.
The 881-16 is designed for use in low-pressure hydraulic suction and return line applications across mobile equipment, agricultural machinery, industrial machinery, and off-highway vehicles. It performs in environments where flexibility, wide-temperature tolerance, and compatibility with petroleum-based hydraulic fluids are required. The black synthetic rubber construction resists abrasion and weathering in outdoor and shop environments. This hose is ordered in cut lengths from a 250-foot coil, making it practical for maintenance shops that stock bulk hose for multiple equipment types.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation hose for low-pressure hydraulic suction and return line applications meeting SAE J517 100R4 and SAE J1942 requirements.
Installation should be performed by a qualified fluid power technician or hydraulic system mechanic familiar with applicable SAE and OSHA hydraulic hose safety guidelines. Depressurize and fully de-energize the hydraulic system and allow fluid to cool before cutting or connecting hose. Use clean cuts with a dedicated hose cutter to ensure square ends for proper fitting seating. Inspect fittings and clamps for compatibility with the 1 inch ID bore before assembly.
