The PARKER 8104N-1A1-DX is a compressed air oil water filter and separator designed to remove dust, oil, particulate, and water from compressed air lines. It uses an auto drain mechanism to continuously discharge collected contaminants without manual intervention, reducing maintenance overhead in active service environments. Rated for 137 CFM flow and a maximum working pressure of 250 psi, this unit is sized for moderate to high-demand compressed air systems. With 1/2 inch NPT end connections and a compact footprint of 11.3 inches in height and 3.3 inches in width, it fits into tight equipment rooms and service bays. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and general mechanical contractors install this type of separator as part of air preparation assemblies.
This filter separator is suited for both residential and light commercial compressed air systems where contaminant removal is critical to downstream equipment performance. Typical applications include protecting pneumatic tools, air-operated valves, spray equipment, and HVAC control air systems from oil and water carryover. The auto drain feature makes it particularly practical in high-cycle or unattended installations where manual draining is not feasible. It is installed inline on compressed air supply lines, typically upstream of regulators, lubricators, or sensitive instrumentation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new installation component for compressed air preparation systems using 1/2 inch NPT inline connections with flow requirements up to 137 CFM.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with compressed air system servicing. Depressurize and lockout the compressed air supply completely before beginning any installation or service work. The unit should be mounted vertically with the drain port oriented downward to ensure proper contaminant collection and auto drain function. Verify that system operating pressure does not exceed 250 psi and that air temperature at the inlet does not exceed 130 degrees F.
