The PARKER 8 RTX-S is a steel male run tee fitting designed for flared tube connections in high-pressure fluid and gas systems. It features a 37-degree flare angle with Flare x MNPTF end connections, making it compatible with standard NPTF threaded ports and 1/2-inch OD tubing. Rated to 6000 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting is built for demanding hydraulic and instrumentation applications where leak-free performance is critical. The male run tee configuration allows a branch takeoff from a main tubing run without interrupting the primary flow path. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic technicians typically install this type of fitting in industrial and mechanical systems.
This fitting suits residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant lines, hydraulic systems, and instrumentation tubing wherever a 1/2-inch OD flared tube must branch to a male NPTF threaded port. The 37-degree flare seat conforms to SAE and AN standards common in refrigeration, hydraulic, and fluid power lines. It is sold and packaged as a single unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 1/2-inch OD flared tubing with 3/8 NPTF threaded ports operating at up to 6000 psi.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified hydraulic technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Inspect the flare seat and tube flare for damage or out-of-round condition before assembly; a damaged flare seat will not seal reliably at rated pressure. Consult applicable codes such as ASME B31.1 or B31.3 and the system manufacturer's specifications for torque and assembly procedures.
