The PARKER 8 PNBZ-B is a brass compression tube end cap designed to seal the open end of a tubing run in instrumentation, hydraulic, or fluid-handling systems. Rated to 2200 psi maximum working pressure, it uses a compression-style end connection that bites into the tube wall to form a leak-resistant seal without threading or soldering. At 1.15 inches in overall length and 0.13 pounds, it is a compact, single-piece fitting suited for tight spaces. It is manufactured to ASME-SB75 and ASTM-B75 brass alloy standards. Plumbers, instrumentation techs, and industrial pipe fitters install this fitting wherever a tube line must be permanently or temporarily capped.
This end cap is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant lines, pneumatic control tubing, and industrial fluid systems where a compression fitting is already in use. It is appropriate for copper tubing applications governed by ASME-SB75 and ASTM-B75 specifications. Typical install scenarios include capping unused branch ports, isolating a tubing segment during service, or terminating a distribution line at its endpoint. The compression design eliminates the need for solder, flux, or thread sealant at the cap connection.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube end cap for copper tubing systems conforming to ASME-SB75 and ASTM-B75 standards. Cross-references Swagelok part number B-810-C.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber, instrumentation technician, or qualified pipe fitter. Shut off system pressure and depressurize the line completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Use appropriately sized tube wrenches and follow the fitting manufacturer's recommended turn count to seat the ferrule without over-tightening. Verify the tubing end is cut square and deburred before inserting it into the fitting body.
