The PARKER 8 FNZ-B is a brass compression tube plug designed to cap and seal the end of a compression-style tubing line. It accepts a standard compression fitting connection and holds a maximum working pressure of 2200 psi, making it suitable for moderate- to high-pressure fluid and gas systems. The plug is manufactured from brass meeting ASME-SB75 and ASTM-B75 standards, ensuring consistent material quality and pressure integrity. At 0.69 inches in overall length and 0.1 pounds, it is a compact, single-piece fitting used by plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians to terminate unused compression ports or temporarily isolate a line segment.
This plug is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant lines, pneumatic systems, and instrumentation tubing wherever a compression end connection needs to be closed off. It is a direct installation into any compatible compression fitting body or tubing end that accepts a compression-style plug. Typical applications include capping spare ports on manifolds, sealing unused branch connections, and isolating sections of tubing during system modifications or testing.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube plug for use in compression-style tubing systems requiring a capped end termination. A cross-reference Swagelok part number B-810-P is noted in supplier data.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or qualified HVAC technicians. Before installing or removing any compression fitting, isolate and depressurize the line completely. Use the appropriate tube-fitting wrench to tighten the compression nut to a snug fit — do not overtighten, as brass compression fittings can crack or deform the ferrule. Verify system pressure rating does not exceed the 2200 psi maximum working pressure of this plug before returning the line to service.
