The PARKER 8 FLO-S is a compression tube connector designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid transfer applications. It features an O-Ring Face Seal (ORFS) end on one side and a National Pipe Taper Fuel (NPTF) thread on the other, creating a reliable leak-resistant connection between tubing and threaded ports. Built from zinc-plated steel, the fitting handles working pressures up to 6000 psi. It accepts tubing with a 1/2 inch outside diameter and uses a 3/8-18 thread size. Licensed plumbers, hydraulic technicians, and fluid system specialists install this type of fitting in industrial, mobile equipment, and commercial fluid power systems.
This connector is suited for systems where a secure, vibration-resistant transition between ORFS tube ends and NPTF pipe threads is required. Typical applications include hydraulic power units, fluid distribution manifolds, and mobile equipment plumbing where high-pressure integrity is critical. The NPTF dry-seal thread eliminates the need for sealant tape in many configurations, while the ORFS face seal provides a positive metal-to-O-ring seating surface that resists leakage under pressure cycling and thermal expansion. This fitting is packaged individually and sold in single-unit quantities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for hydraulic and fluid power systems requiring a 1/2 inch OD tube compression connection to a 3/8-18 NPTF threaded port.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician or licensed plumber familiar with high-pressure fluid systems. De-pressurize and isolate the hydraulic circuit fully before removing or installing fittings. Inspect the O-ring seating surface for nicks or contamination before assembly, and replace the O-ring if worn. Consult applicable fluid power standards and system specifications for proper assembly procedures.
