The PARKER 8-8 GBZ-B is a brass compression tube connector designed to create a secure, leak-free joint between a compression tube end and a female NPT threaded port. Built from solid brass, this fitting handles a maximum working pressure of 2200 psi, making it well-suited for demanding fluid and gas line applications in HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and industrial systems. The 1/2-inch thread size and Compression x FNPT end configuration allow direct connection to standard female pipe thread ports without the need for additional adapters. Plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this fitting when transitioning between compression tubing and threaded pipe assemblies.
This connector is used in both residential and light commercial settings wherever a compression-to-female-pipe-thread transition is required. Typical applications include instrument lines, hydraulic circuits, refrigerant piping, and process fluid connections. The brass construction resists corrosion in water, oil, and many gas service environments, making it a practical choice for a wide range of trade applications where a reliable tube-to-pipe connection is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation compression tube connector for systems using 1/2-inch Compression x FNPT fittings in brass. Cross-reference Swagelok part number B-810-7-8 for alternate sourcing verification.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable IPC or IFGC requirements. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Use an appropriate tube cutter to ensure a clean, square tube end before seating the compression ferrule. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
