The PARKER 8-8 CBZ-SS is a compression tube male elbow fitting designed to transition a compression tube connection to a male NPT threaded port. Machined from stainless steel, this elbow provides a 90-degree directional change in tubing runs where space or routing constraints require an angled connection. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 6300 psi, making it suitable for high-pressure instrumentation, hydraulic, and process piping applications. The 1/2 inch thread size accommodates common tubing and pipe sizes encountered in industrial and mechanical systems. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers.
This fitting is used in applications where a compression-type tube must connect to a male NPT port at a 90-degree angle. Typical installations include process control lines, pneumatic instrumentation circuits, hydraulic systems, and high-pressure fluid handling assemblies in both commercial and industrial settings. The stainless steel construction makes it well suited for corrosive or sanitary environments where carbon steel fittings are not appropriate.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube fitting for high-pressure instrumentation, process, and fluid handling systems requiring a 1/2 inch male NPT port connection with a compression tube inlet.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable codes such as the IPC or ASME B31.3 for process piping. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any compression fittings. Hand-tighten the compression nut and then advance with a wrench per standard compression fitting procedure — do not overtighten, as stainless fittings can gall. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the male NPT threads before engaging the port connection.
