The PARKER 8-8 CBZ-B is a brass compression tube male elbow designed to connect tubing to a male NPT threaded port at a 90-degree angle. The fitting uses a compression-style tube end paired with a 1/2 inch MNPT threaded end, making it a reliable choice for creating leak-tight directional changes in fluid or gas lines. Manufactured from brass conforming to ASTM-B-124 and BS2872 standards, it is rated for working pressures up to 2200 psi. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and pipefitters install this type of fitting where space constraints require a right-angle transition between tubing and a threaded port.
This elbow is suited for use in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant and control line applications, and instrumentation systems where a 90-degree compression-to-male-pipe-thread connection is required. The 1/2 inch thread size and compression end accommodate standard tubing runs that terminate at valves, manifolds, or equipment ports with MNPT threads. Installation does not require soldering or flaring, making it practical for field retrofits and new installations alike.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use in systems requiring a 1/2 inch MNPT threaded port connection with a compression tube inlet. Cross-reference Swagelok part number B-810-2-8 for equivalent fitment.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disassembling any existing fittings or installing this elbow. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tubing, then advance with a wrench per the compression fitting manufacturer's standard procedure. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MNPT threads in accordance with applicable IPC or IFGC requirements for the media being conveyed.
