The PARKER 8-8-8 RTX-S is a steel male run tee fitting designed for flared tube connections in high-pressure fluid and gas systems. It features a 37-degree flare angle with Flare x MNPTF end connections, allowing a branch takeoff from a main tube run while maintaining a threaded male port. Rated to 6000 psi maximum working pressure and capable of handling temperatures up to 500 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding hydraulic and pneumatic service. Licensed trades including hydraulic technicians, plumbers, and HVAC mechanics install this type of fitting where branch connections must be made without cutting into an existing line.
This fitting is suited for residential and commercial applications wherever a run tee branch is required in a 1/2 inch OD flared tube system. Typical installations include hydraulic lines, refrigeration circuits, and fuel systems where a 37-degree SAE flare interface and NPTF thread sealing are specified. The MNPTF thread standard ensures a pressure-tight mechanical seal at the threaded port without relying solely on thread sealant.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 1/2 inch OD flared tube connections with 37-degree SAE flare geometry and NPTF-threaded male ports.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with SAE flare fittings and NPTF thread connections. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Inspect the flare seat and tube end for damage or burrs before assembly, as surface defects compromise the seal. Tighten to the fitting and tube manufacturer guidelines using appropriate flare nut wrenches — do not use pipe wrenches on flare fittings.
