The PARKER 8-12 CBZ-SS is a compression tube male elbow fitting manufactured in stainless steel. It creates a 90-degree directional change in a compression tube line while transitioning to a male NPT threaded connection. The fitting uses a compression end on one side and a 3/4-inch MNPT end on the other, allowing a tube to connect directly to a threaded port without welding or flaring. It is rated to 6300 psi working pressure, making it suitable for high-pressure fluid and gas systems. Plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians install this type of fitting in process piping, pneumatic, and hydraulic applications.
This fitting is used wherever a compression tube line must terminate at a male NPT port at a right angle. Common install scenarios include industrial process lines, compressed air systems, hydraulic circuits, and instrumentation tubing runs in both commercial and industrial settings. The stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for corrosive environments, high-pressure service, and applications where carbon steel or brass fittings are not acceptable.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube male elbow for industrial, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation piping systems requiring a compression-to-MNPT transition at a 90-degree angle.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable codes such as the IPC or applicable industrial piping standards. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing or installing any fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut first, then apply the manufacturer-recommended number of turns with a wrench, and apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MNPT threads per site requirements. Do not over-tighten the compression end, as this can damage the ferrule and compromise the seal.
