The PARKER 8-12 C5OLO-S is a compression tube male elbow fitting designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid transfer applications. It connects a 1/2-inch outside diameter tube to a male port using an O-Ring Face Seal (ORFS) connection on the tube end and an SAE O-Ring Boss (SAE-ORB) thread on the male end. The fitting is manufactured from zinc-plated steel, providing corrosion resistance in industrial and mobile hydraulic environments. With a maximum working pressure of 6000 psi, it is rated for demanding service conditions. The 1-1/16-12 UNF thread size is a standard designation in SAE hydraulic fitting specifications. This fitting is installed by hydraulic system technicians, fleet maintenance mechanics, and industrial plumbers.
This male elbow fitting is used wherever a 90-degree directional change is required in a hydraulic line connecting a 1/2-inch OD tube to an SAE-ORB port. Typical applications include mobile equipment, construction machinery, agricultural equipment, and stationary industrial hydraulic systems. The ORFS tube end provides a leak-free metal-to-metal seal backed by an O-ring, making it well suited for high-vibration environments where traditional flare fittings may weep over time. The SAE-ORB male end threads into ports found on pumps, valves, cylinders, and manifolds conforming to SAE J1926 port standards.
Designed for use with 1/2-inch outside diameter hydraulic tubing terminating at SAE-ORB straight-thread ports on hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, and manifolds that conform to SAE J1926 port specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician or mechanic familiar with high-pressure fluid systems. Depressurize and isolate the hydraulic circuit completely before disconnecting or installing any fitting. Verify that the O-ring is properly seated and undamaged before torquing the SAE-ORB male end into the port; a missing or pinched O-ring will result in leakage under pressure. After installation, cycle the system at low pressure first and inspect all connections for leaks before returning the equipment to full operating pressure.
