The PARKER 73216BN2MT00 is a direct-acting, 2-way, 2-position solenoid valve designed for precise fluid or gas shutoff in industrial and mechanical systems. It features a 1/4 inch NPT port, a brass body, and a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) seal rated for service up to 210 degrees F. The valve ships without a coil — an integrated coil must be ordered separately to complete the assembly. With a maximum working pressure of 1500 psi and a Cv factor of 0.76, this valve suits demanding pressure control applications. Licensed electricians, pipefitters, and HVAC-R technicians are the primary installers of this valve type.
This valve is suited for use in industrial fluid control, pneumatic systems, refrigeration circuits, and process piping where a normally closed, direct-acting solenoid valve with NPT threading is required. Its brass construction and PTFE sealing make it compatible with a range of media including water, air, and many common process fluids. The minimum operating pressure differential is 5 psi, which must be maintained for reliable direct-acting operation. Residential and light commercial mechanical systems that require a 1/4 inch NPT normally closed valve are also typical application environments.
Designed as an OEM-style direct-acting solenoid valve for systems requiring a 1/4 inch NPT normally closed valve with brass body construction. Confirm coil voltage and interface compatibility before ordering, as the coil is sold separately.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or HVAC-R technician familiar with solenoid valve assemblies. Shut off system pressure and de-energize all electrical circuits before installation or service. Verify the integrated coil voltage matches the supply voltage before energizing — available supply voltages for compatible coils include 12 Vdc, 24 Vdc, 24/60 Vac, 120 Vdc, 120/60 to 110/50 Vac, and 240/60 to 220/50 Vac. Apply appropriate thread sealant to NPT connections and confirm flow direction and minimum pressure differential requirements are met prior to startup.
