The PARKER 73212BN2MN00 is a normally closed, direct-acting solenoid valve designed for precise fluid control in industrial and commercial systems. The valve features a 1/4 inch NPT port, a brass body, and an NBR elastomer seal, making it well suited for use with air, water, light oils, and compatible hydraulic media. It operates across a wide voltage range including 12Vdc, 24Vdc, 24/60Vac, 120Vdc, 120/60 to 110/50Vac, and 240/60 to 220/50Vac. Maximum working pressure is 300 psi, with a minimum operating pressure differential of 5 psi. A coil is required for complete valve assembly and must be ordered separately or as an integrated unit.
This solenoid valve is intended for installation in process piping, HVAC control circuits, refrigeration systems, pneumatic lines, and general fluid automation applications. The normally closed configuration means the valve blocks flow when de-energized and opens when the coil is energized, a standard requirement in safety-critical or fail-safe control loops. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians are the typical installers for this type of valve in both residential and light commercial settings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation solenoid valve for 1/4 inch NPT piping systems requiring normally closed operation. An integrated coil must be specified separately to complete the valve assembly.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or qualified industrial technician. Shut off all system pressure and de-energize the control circuit before servicing or installing the valve. Thread sealant appropriate for the media type should be applied to NPT connections per applicable plumbing codes. Verify coil voltage matches the control circuit supply before energizing the valve.
