The PARKER 72218BN5VE00 is a direct-acting, normally closed solenoid valve designed for control of hot water and compatible fluid systems. It features a 3/4 inch NPT port, a brass body, and an ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) seal rated for fluid temperatures up to 210 degrees F. The valve operates across a wide range of voltages including 12 Vdc, 24 Vdc, 24/60 Vac, 120 Vdc, 120/60 to 110/50 Vac, and 240/60 to 220/50 Vac, making it adaptable to many control circuit configurations. It carries CSA, UL, and NEMA 4X certifications. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors are the primary installers of this valve in commercial and residential piping systems.
This valve is suited for hot water applications in both residential and light commercial systems. The direct-acting design means the valve opens and closes purely on solenoid force with no minimum pressure differential required, making it reliable at zero-differential-pressure conditions. A Cv factor of 5.0 and a 3/4 inch orifice support adequate flow capacity for typical zone control, isolation, or fluid-handling applications. Maximum working pressure is 40 psi. The coil is included with the valve.
