The PARKER 72218BN3TN00 is a normally closed solenoid valve designed for precise fluid control in industrial and commercial system applications. The valve features a brass body with an NBR seal and accepts a 3/8 inch NPT port connection. It operates across a wide range of voltage inputs including 12 Vdc, 24 Vdc, 24/60 Vac, 120 Vdc, 120/60 to 110/50 Vac, and 240/60 to 220/50 Vac, making it adaptable to a variety of control circuit configurations. Maximum working pressure is 40 psi, and the Cv flow factor is 3.0. Licensed trades and industrial maintenance technicians are the typical installers for this type of solenoid valve.
This valve is suited for fluid control applications in HVAC, refrigeration, process piping, and general industrial systems where a normally closed, de-energized-shut configuration is required. The broad voltage compatibility allows integration into both domestic and international control systems. The 5/8 inch orifice size and Cv rating of 3.0 support adequate flow capacity for standard 3/8 inch line applications. It is rated for media temperatures up to 185 degrees F, which covers most common liquid and gas service conditions encountered in commercial and light industrial environments. A compatible integrated coil is required to complete the valve assembly and must be sourced separately.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation solenoid valve for 3/8 inch NPT piping systems requiring a normally closed, multi-voltage-compatible valve in HVAC, refrigeration, or industrial fluid control applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified industrial maintenance technician in accordance with applicable local codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) where applicable. Shut off and depressurize the system fully before removing or installing the valve. Note that this valve requires a separately sourced integrated coil for complete assembly — confirm coil voltage matches the control circuit before installation. Do not exceed the 40 psi maximum working pressure rating.
