The PARKER 6SC6-B is a brass compression tube union designed to join two compression-end tubing runs in a single inline fitting. It accepts compression connections on both ends, creating a secure, leak-resistant joint without soldering or threading. Built to ASME-SB75 and ASTM-B75 brass material standards, this union is rated for a maximum working pressure of 2300 psi, making it suitable for high-pressure fluid and instrumentation tubing systems. At 1.77 inches overall length and weighing just 0.11 pounds, it is compact enough for tight installations. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the primary installers of this fitting type.
This compression union is used in residential and commercial plumbing, refrigeration tubing, pneumatic control lines, and instrumentation applications where a field-joinable inline union is required. The all-brass construction resists corrosion in a wide range of fluid media. It is well suited for copper or compatible soft-metal tubing systems where repeated disconnection and reconnection at a union point may be needed during service or system modification.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube union compatible with standard compression tubing systems. Cross-reference Swagelok part number B-600-6 for equivalent fitment.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME standards. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disassembling or installing any compression fitting. Use appropriate tube cutters and deburring tools to ensure clean, square tube ends before seating the ferrule. Do not over-tighten compression nuts, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
