The PARKER 6SC6-316 is a stainless steel compression tube union designed to join two compression-end tube lines in a single inline fitting. It connects tube to tube without threading or brazing, relying on compression ferrules to create a leak-tight seal. Rated to 6600 psi maximum working pressure and capable of handling temperatures from -425 degrees F to 1200 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding fluid and gas handling systems. It is sized for 3/8 inch outside diameter tubing and weighs approximately 0.11 pounds. Plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers.
This fitting is suited for high-pressure instrumentation lines, process piping, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic control circuits where a reliable inline tube connection is required. The wide temperature range makes it appropriate for cryogenic service as well as elevated-temperature process applications. Its stainless steel construction holds up in corrosive environments including chemical processing, oil and gas, and marine installations. It is sold individually and ships as a single unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for systems using 3/8 inch outside diameter compression-end tubing in high-pressure instrumentation, pneumatic, or process piping applications.
Installation is performed by qualified plumbers, pipefitters, or instrumentation technicians. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disassembling any compression fitting. Follow the tubing manufacturer and fitting manufacturer torque guidance for ferrule seating to avoid over-compression or under-compression of the ferrule. Verify that the tubing outside diameter and wall thickness are compatible with the fitting before assembly, and inspect the tube end for squareness and burr removal prior to installation.
