The PARKER 6MSEL6N-316 is a stainless steel compression tube male elbow fitting designed for high-pressure and extreme-temperature fluid and gas line connections. It transitions from a compression tube end to a male NPT threaded end in a 90-degree elbow configuration. Rated to 6600 psi maximum working pressure and capable of handling temperatures from -425 degrees F to 1200 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding industrial and mechanical applications. The 316 stainless steel construction resists corrosion and meets the requirements of aggressive media environments. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the primary installers.
This fitting is suited for instrumentation tubing systems, hydraulic lines, pneumatic circuits, and process piping where a direction change from tube to NPT pipe thread is required. The 3/8-inch tube outside diameter compression end pairs with a 3/8-18 NPT male thread. Its wide temperature range makes it appropriate for cryogenic service as well as high-heat process applications. Typical installations include industrial plants, refineries, OEM equipment assemblies, and mechanical systems requiring a reliable leak-free elbow connection.
Designed for use with 3/8-inch outside diameter tubing on the compression end and 3/8-18 NPT male threaded connections on the pipe end. Suitable for stainless steel or compatible tubing in instrumentation, hydraulic, and process piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or instrumentation technician familiar with compression fitting assembly and NPT thread sealing practices. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing or installing any fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT male threads per the system media requirements and applicable codes. Do not overtighten the compression nut — follow the fitting manufacturer's recommended turns-past-finger-tight procedure for the tube size and material.
