The PARKER 6MSC4N-B is a brass compression tube connector designed to create a secure, leak-free joint between compression tubing and a male NPT threaded port. The fitting accepts 3/8 inch outside diameter tubing on the compression end and connects to a male NPT thread on the opposite end. Rated to a maximum working pressure of 2300 psi, it is built to ASME-SB75 and ASTM-B75 standards. The all-brass construction provides corrosion resistance and durability in a wide range of fluid and gas service applications. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial pipefitters are the primary installers of this type of fitting.
This connector is suited for use in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant line sets, compressed air systems, and instrumentation tubing runs where a transition from compression tubing to a male NPT threaded port is required. The 2300 psi working pressure rating makes it appropriate for higher-pressure pneumatic and hydraulic applications as well. It is sold and packaged individually, making it suitable for single-point repair and maintenance work as well as new installation projects.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems requiring a 3/8 inch OD compression tube to male NPT threaded port connection in brass. Cross-references to Swagelok part number B-600-1-4 per supplier data.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable codes including ASME and ASTM standards. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal. Inspect the tubing end for burrs or out-of-round conditions before seating it in the fitting body.
