The PARKER 6FSC8N-316 is a stainless steel compression tube connector designed to join tubing to female NPT threaded ports in fluid and gas piping systems. It features a compression end on one side and a female NPT (FNPT) end on the other, with a 1/2-14 NPT thread size. Rated for a maximum working pressure of 6600 psi and a temperature range from -425 degrees F to 1200 degrees F, this fitting handles demanding service conditions including cryogenic, high-pressure, and high-temperature applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers.
This connector is well suited for use in industrial process piping, instrumentation tubing runs, hydraulic lines, and compressed gas systems where a reliable compression-to-FNPT transition is required. The 316 stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for corrosive environments, offshore installations, chemical processing facilities, and food-grade or sanitary systems where carbon steel fittings are not acceptable. It is sold individually and is intended for professional trade installation.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use in instrumentation, process, hydraulic, and compressed gas tubing systems requiring a compression-to-female NPT connection at 1/2-14 NPT thread size.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or instrumentation technician in accordance with applicable codes including ASME B31.3 for process piping. Depressurize and isolate the system fully before disassembly or installation of any fitting. Compression fittings require proper tube preparation including clean, square cuts and deburred tube ends to ensure a leak-free seal. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as this can damage the ferrule and compromise the seal integrity.
