The PARKER 68VL-10-8 is a brass compression tube connector designed to join tubing to male NPT threaded ports in fluid and pneumatic systems. It uses Parker's Vibra-Lok compression style, which provides a secure, vibration-resistant seal without the need for flaring or soldering. The fitting connects a compression end to a 1/2-14 MNPT thread and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 100 psi. Constructed from brass, it suits a range of compatible media and resists corrosion in typical plumbing and instrumentation environments. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation technicians install this fitting in both residential and light commercial applications.
This connector is suited for use in hydraulic lines, pneumatic circuits, instrumentation tubing, and general fluid transfer systems where a reliable compression-to-NPT transition is required. The Vibra-Lok compression design eliminates the need for tube flaring, making it practical for field installations with limited tooling. It performs across a temperature range of -30 degrees F to 275 degrees F, making it adaptable to a wide range of service environments. It meets ISO 6149 and SAE J1926 standards, which are commonly specified in OEM and aftermarket fluid power assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style compression-to-MNPT transition fitting for fluid power, pneumatic, and instrumentation tubing systems that specify ISO 6149 or SAE J1926 compliant connections.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers or qualified fluid power or instrumentation technicians. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tubing, then tighten with a wrench to the fitting manufacturer's recommended procedure — do not overtighten, as over-compression can deform the ferrule and cause leaks. Verify thread sealant compatibility with the media being conveyed before applying to the NPT threads.
