The PARKER 68PTCBH-8-8 is a brass male bulkhead push-to-connect tube fitting designed for DOT-compliant air brake systems. It features a Tube x MNPT x Tube x Male connection configuration, accepting 1/2-inch OD tubing on both ends with a 1/2-inch NPTF threaded center port for bulkhead panel mounting. Rated to 250 psi maximum working pressure and tested across a temperature range of -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F, this fitting is built for the demands of commercial vehicle and heavy-duty pneumatic plumbing. A nitrile O-ring seal provides reliable, leak-resistant performance under continuous pressure cycling.
This fitting is intended for air brake tubing installations on commercial trucks, trailers, and other vehicles subject to DOT FMVSS 571.106 requirements, as well as applications governed by SAE J2494 and SAE J2494-3 standards. It is suited for bulkhead panel pass-through configurations where a push-to-connect interface is needed on both tube sides and a threaded connection is required at the panel. Licensed fleet mechanics, pneumatic plumbing technicians, and commercial vehicle service professionals are the primary installers of this component.
Designed as an OEM-style DOT air brake fitting for 1/2-inch OD tubing push-to-connect systems requiring a male bulkhead configuration with 1/2-inch NPTF thread. Conforms to DOT FMVSS 571.106, SAE J2494, and SAE J2494-3 standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with DOT air brake system requirements. Depressurize the air brake circuit completely before removing or installing any fittings. Ensure bulkhead panel hole diameter and thickness are compatible with the fitting body before threading. After installation, pressurize the system and verify all connections for leaks before returning the vehicle to service.
