The PARKER 68PLP-8M-4G is a straight male connector push-to-connect fitting designed for quick, tool-free tube connections in pneumatic and fluid systems. Constructed from nickel-plated brass with a UL94 V-0 flame-resistant body, it accepts an 8mm outside-diameter tube on the push-in end and connects to a 1/4-inch BSPP male thread on the port end. Rated to 300 psi maximum working pressure with an operating temperature range of 0 degrees F to 200 degrees F, this fitting suits demanding industrial, HVAC, and compressed-air applications. A silver body with a yellow release button identifies the push-to-connect collar for quick tube removal.
This fitting is suited for use in pneumatic control lines, compressed-air distribution systems, and fluid-handling circuits where a reliable tube-to-male-thread connection is required. The BSPP thread type makes it compatible with British standard parallel pipe ported components common in industrial equipment and imported machinery. It is typically installed by HVAC technicians, pneumatic system assemblers, and industrial maintenance technicians working with metric tube runs that terminate at BSP-ported valves, manifolds, or instruments.
Designed for use with 8mm outside-diameter tubing in pneumatic and fluid systems using 1/4-inch BSPP-ported valves, manifolds, or fittings. Verify thread standard (BSPP) before installation, as BSPP is not interchangeable with NPT or BSPT threads.
Shut down and fully depressurize the system before installing or removing this fitting. Hand-tighten the BSPP male thread into the mating port and apply appropriate thread sealant compatible with the system fluid; BSPP is a parallel thread and requires a face seal or thread sealant to achieve a pressure-tight joint. Insert tubing firmly until it bottoms in the push-connect collet; to remove, depress the yellow release collar and pull the tube straight out. Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with pneumatic or pressurized fluid systems and applicable local codes.
